Mark Howard Hosler is an American musician who is a founding member of the sound art collective Negativland with David Wills (aka "The Weatherman"), Peter Conheim, Jon Leidecker (aka "Wobbly"), Don Joyce, and Richard Lyons.
Starting in 1979, Hosler made his first experimental music recordings on cassettes, with the first Negativland LP being released in 1980 while he was still in high school. He continues to record and perform with Negativland, and often performs solo as well.
Negativland's 2008 release, Thigmotactic, was a work of more traditional songwriting, primarily written by Hosler.
Hosler was born in 1963 in Concord, California. He currently resides in Marshall, North Carolina.
