Biography

John Mark Davidson (February 15, 1961 in Knoxville, Tennessee), is a former professional baseball player who played outfielder in the Major Leagues from 1986-1991. He played for the Minnesota Twins and Houston Astros.
Davidson graduated from Garinger High School in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1978. He played baseball for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1979 and 1980, then transferred to Clemson University, where he played in 1982. He was drafted by the Twins in the 11th round of the 1982 amateur draft.
One of Davidson's most productive years was in 1987. He played in 102 games and had a .267 batting average. He was a member of the Twins team that won the 1987 World Series.
