Biography

Marie Mariterangi (sometimes spelled Marie Mariteragi) was a Tahitian singer. She was born in 1926 in Hikueru, moved from French Polynesia to Hawaii in 1959, and eventually moved to the mainland United States. She died in 1971. She performed as part of Marie Mariterangi Et Son Groupe.
In 2001, she was featured on a French Polynesian postage stamp.
