Biography

Mareva Murielle Arnaud Tchong has been a member of the Council of Twelve Apostles of the Community of Christ since 2013. She is the first Polynesian to be an apostle in the Community of Christ. Mareva Murielle Tchong was born in Tahiti, French Polynesia, and was adopted by Tahitian parents. She married Munanui Arnaud. Tchong was raised in the Community of Christ. Prior to becoming an apostle, she was financial officer and president of the church's French Polynesia Mission Centre and was counselor to the president of the Quorum of High Priests. Tchong began her service in the Council of Twelve in January 2013 and was ordained an apostle in April 2013.
