Biography

Marci Zaroff coined and trademarked the term "ECOfashion®" in 1995 and is an internationally recognized ECOlifestyle entrepreneur, educator, innovator and expert. Zaroff believes that Millennials are "“driving the rapidly growing movement for sustainable and ethical fashion.” Zaroff is a green business leader.
Marci is an RSA Fellow and a Henry Crown Fellow of The Aspen Institute

Career

Marci Zaroff has a degree from the Haas Business School of the University of California, Berkeley. Marci has been instrumental in driving authenticity, environmental leadership & social justice worldwide for over 25 years.

Zaroff was a key figure in the development of the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and first Fair Trade Textile Certification.

Currently a Director/Advisor on numerous Boards, including Organic Trade Association, Textile Exchange, Fair Trade USA, Fashion Revolution Day, Fashion Positive, Teens Turning Green and many more.

Marci speaks internationally on organic and sustainable textiles, creative leadership and strategy, social innovation and green business/design. She keynote spoke at Sustainable Brands Istanbul on "How to Co-Create a Stylish & Sustainable World" and was a panelist at the National Products Expo East in Baltimore on "Field to Tee: Organic Textiles" and at the 2015 NGO Conference at the United Nations. Zaroff also had the opportunity to introduce former Vice President Al Gore at South Florida’s Mizner Amphitheater and is featured in the book: “ECO AMAZONS: 20 Women Who Are Transforming the World.”

Zaroff launched organic/sustainable fiber initiatives in retailers such as Whole Foods Market, Macy's, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond and AVEDA.

Personal life
