Biography

Machaon (Graece Μαχάων), qui saeculo IV a.C.n. exeunte floruit, Antigoni Monophthalmi coaevus, fuit inter annos 323 et 301 a.C.n. huius regis miles; ille enim cum Hierone et Sopoli eo anno a Polemaeo iuxta Iasum positus est ad hanc urbem defendendam. Inscriptio Iasia foedera refert inter hos milites, pro urbe agentes, et Ptolemaeum.
