Biography

Lynn Diane Dierking is a Sea Grant Professor in Free-Choice Learning, Science & Mathematics Education in the College of Science at Oregon State University. She is also the Associate Dean for Research in the College of Education at Oregon State University. Dierking is most known for research on “free-choice learning” and “lifelong learning.” She has been active in the museum and the education field since the 1980s, making great contributions like The Museum Experience, published originally in 1992 with longtime work partner John Falk. She has continued to make important contributions to the museum education field.
