Biography

Luís Mena e Silva (January 24, 1902 – August 3, 1963) was a Portuguese horse rider who competed in the 1936 Summer Olympics and in the 1948 Summer Olympics. In 1936 he and his horse Fossette won the bronze medal as part of the Portuguese show jumping team, after finishing 21st in the individual jumping competition. Twelve years later he won his second bronze medal. This time with his horse Fascinante as part of the Portuguese dressage team, after finishing twelfth in the individual dressage competition.
