Biography
Lucas Schoofs (born 3 January 1997 in Koersel) is a Belgian footballer, who prefers to play as a defending midfielder. He moved on from the youth teams of Lommel United in 2014.
Career
Schoofs was educated at the then-Second Division-team Lommel United, in which he went through the youth teams. On 27 April 2014, he was selected for the last game of the 2013-2014-season against Sint-Truiden VV. He was the substitute of Thomas Jutten in the 78th minute, making his official debut. In the 2014-2015-season, he was finally included into the selection. Schoofs made his first goal on 30 August 2014 against KSV Roeselare.
On 29 August, Schoofs was transferred to the national champion AA Gent. AA Gent allowed Schoofs first to develop a year at Lommel.
