Leah Hunt-Hendrix is an activist, organizer, and political theorist. She is the co-founder and executive director of Solidaire, a network of philanthropist who fund progressive social movements.
Leah completed her doctorate at Princeton University in Religion, Ethics and Politics, where she wrote on the concept of solidarity. She was a participant in the Occupy Wall Street movement, and a theorist of the nature of the movement.
Leah was born and raised in New York City. She is the daughter of Helen LaKelly Hunt, founder of The Sister Fund and Women Moving Millions, and Harville Hendrix, author and creator of Imago Relationship Therapy. Her brother, Hunter Hunt-Hendrix, is the frontman of American metal band Liturgy. She is also the granddaughter of Texas oil tycoon H.L. Hunt. She currently lives in San Francisco, CA.
