Biography
Larkin Baker Coles (1803-1856) was a 19th-century American author on health and lifestyle. His books include Natural Principles of Health and Cure; Health and Cure without Drugs, and The Moral Bearing of Erroneous Appetites.. His books were used as a resource by Ellen G. White for her health writings, notably The Ministry of Healing, published in 1905. Her use of authors such as Coles, Sylvester Graham, Dr. William Alcott, and James Caleb Jackson has contributed to criticism of her for her role in founding the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
