Biography
Lady Aryeong (a.k.a. Al-yeong, Al-yong) is a daughter of Lady Saso who is from Chinese royal family and moved to Jinhan confederacy. She got married with Hyeokgeose (혁거세 거서간) of Silla who is the founder of Silla and he was also a son of Lady Saso. According to Samguk Yusa (Memorabilia of the three Kingdoms), Aryeong was born from the left side of the dragon which appeared nearby the well (In Samguk Sagi: History of the Three Kingdoms, it was written as right side). According to Buddhist monk Il-yeon (일연), this dragon means Lady Saso.
