Biography

La Bella Ingeborg (born name Valborg Elisabeth Gröning, but often referred to as "Bojan"), was born in Gävle 3 April 1890, and died 24 December 1970. She was a Swedish circus princess, introduced as "The Prodigy Child".
Valborg was born into poverty and put up for adoption at the age of four by circus artists Julia Andersson and Knut Lindberg. When she was 15 years old she went into marriage with a clown, Charles Bazola. They travelled around the world performing with the circus Fortuna & Bazola. Valborg fell pregnant and gave birth to a daughter, Héléne Bazola and as a result the young family moved back to Gävle. Valborg delivered newspapers for a living before she died in the year 1970. She is buried at the cemetery in Gävle, in a grave with other circus artists.
