Kripa Shanka Sharma was born in Harduaganj , Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, He spend 6 months prison in jail for 1942's Non Coperative Movement proseed by Mahatma Gandhi.He wrote letter to Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru
His grand father Pt. Nathuram Shankar Sharma'Shankar' and father Hari Shankar Sharma were Hindi's famous poet whlie his daughter Indira Indu was also a known poet.
