Kate McMahon, Irish-American author. McMahon was born in Boston and moved to Ireland in 1980. She is a tutor specializing in dyslexia. She is also an author of phonetic workbooks designed especially for adolescent and adult dyslexics. In addition, she has written a number of children's books based on her own family.
