Juan José Rithner was an Argentine footballer, played as goalkeeper in Porteño and in the Argentina national football team.
Rithner was born in Buenos Aires, he began his career in the Club Atlético Porteño. On November 26, 1911, Rithner played the championship game against the Alumni Athletic Club. And in the following year he was champion with Porteño.
His great performances in Porteño, earned him a place in the Selección Argentina. On May 27, 1914, Rithner scored two goals against Uruguay, the match was played in Córdoba, Argentina. He played in the first America's Cup, held in 1916.
