Biography

Joyce Aboussie (born 1957) is an American business executive and the founder and CEO of Aboussie & Associates, a consulting and information integration company that provides research and strategic communications for political, corporate, and non-profit clients. She is also the founder of Telephone Contact Inc., a calling, research, and data management company that she started in 1986. Along with being a businesswoman and entrepreneur, Aboussie has been involved in over 500 political campaigns since 1977.

While pursuing a bachelor's degree in political science at St. Louis University, Aboussie volunteered and interned for Congressman Dick Gephardt. After graduating in 1979, she continued working with Gephardt for nearly 30 years, serving at the top of his political organization as the National Political Director until his retirement.

In 1992, Aboussie became the Missouri Transition Director for President-Elect Clinton and has since served on the National Finance boards of Democratic Presidential Nominees Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden

Aboussie was the youngest person to ever be elected to the ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Board of Directors and Governors, and she was the first female chairperson of the organization's board. In 2006, she was named one of the "Most Influential Business Women" by the St. Louis Business Journal. She has previously been honored as one of the "40 people under 40" who make a difference in St. Louis by the same publication. More recently, in 2015 Aboussie was inducted into the Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame of the Center for Entrepreneurship at St. Louis University under the category of Small Independent Entrepreneurship.
