Biography
Joswell Valdez is a Dominican American businessman and a mobile application programmer. Valdez is also the co-founder of Izzy Care an AI focused software solution for health enterprises and founder of PocketSpace, a digital agency based in New York City.
Early life and entrepreneurship
Joswell Valdez was born on 5 January 1987 in Bronx, New York. Although his parents came to the US during their teenage years, they lived in between the US and the Dominican Republic as kids. He attended the Bronx community college, but later dropped to pursue what he loved most, entrepreneurship. As a self-made entrepreneur, Valdez was inspired by the digital revolution. His interest in Entrepreneurship began when he was only seventeen years old through entrepreneurial mentorship he got from his father.
His first project was the "Street Bangaz" documentary at the age of 18. According to a New York Biz article, Valdez is among the very few young people who have embraced the immense business opportunities that technology presents. The Street Bangaz documentary featured renowned music artists such as Method Man, Redman, Jim Jones, Black Child, Ice Cube, Immortal Technique, Max B and many more. Because of entrepreneurial skills, Street Bangaz was released in 2008 and sold 100,000 copies through outlets such as Best Buy, Target, and Virgin Megastores.
Even after the discontinuation of Syncr because such technologies were still the initial stages, Valdez did not lose the grip of growing into a renowned entrepreneur in New York. He created Pocketspace to help first-time entrepreneurs and early companies with the knowledge he had gained over the years. Currently, PocketSpace has several developers and designers who work under Valdez. Alongside Kenneth colon, Valdez recently co-founded Izzy Care, which has been effective in automating follow-ups and assessments, the provision predictive health analytics, and revenue maximization for organizations.According to Alley Watch interview in the Brave New Coin magazine, the integration with social media has opened new marketplace possibilities," for SyncBeat's co-founder Joswell Valdez.
Career
Although his has been part of many entrepreneurial projects, recent projects include Izzy Care (Feb 2017 – Present) and PocketSpace (Dec 2014 – Present).
Izzy Care
Alongside Kenneth Colon, Valdez co-founded of Izzy Care, which is a multilingual health care chatbot and predictive analytics platform. Izzy Care is fully customizable and can be integrated with any electronic health record. Essentially Izzy Care is a product suite that combines three areas of advancement in tech- intelligent assistants, predictive machine learning models, and blockchain protocols, to help in the transformation of the current healthcare delivery to a model that is highly proactive, personalized, scalable, secure, and built with the physician and the patient in mind. Izzy Care is aimed at addressing problems such as physician burnout, reactive vs. proactive care, and data security.
PocketSpace (Dec 2014 – Present)
Valdez is also a Senior Application Development Specialist and Founder of PocketSpace. Over the years, he has been active in the provision of a top-notch app development, mobile marketing, as well as consulting services. PocketSpace plays an effective management role of the various stages of project life cycle (from concept to roll out). Valdez' PocketSpace company has helped Ubair, a jet charter company, from idea stage to a successful exit. In fact, a CNN article highlighted that Ubair rely on complex predictive algorithms to aggregate aircraft availability data from hundreds of private jet operators and provide quotes within seconds.
