Biography

Jorma Salmi (May 6, 1933 – May 24, 2016) was a Finnish professional ice hockey player who played in the SM-liiga. He played for Ilves, HIFK, and HJK. He was inducted into the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003. He was a member of the 1960 Finnish Olympic team that won a Bronze medal at Lake Placid. He moved to the United States and was residing in the Chicago suburb of Buffalo Grove, Illinois.
