Father John Bennett Bani (born July 1, 1941) was a Vanuatuan politician who served as the President and head of state of Vanuatu from 25 March 1999 until March 24, 2004.
His term expired in 2004. He is an Anglican priest from Pentecost Island, and is one of the founders of the Cultural Association which later become the Vanua'aku Pati. He is a nationalist and "a man of Christian principles."
