Biography

Jamie Gillan Greene MSP is a British politician who is a Scottish Conservative and Unionist Member of Scottish Parliament for the West Scotland region, elected in the Scottish Parliament election, 2016.
In the United Kingdom general election, 2015, Greene stood for the UK Parliament as the Conservative candidate for North Ayrshire and Arran where he came third.
In 2016, Greene stood for the Scottish Parliament as the Conservative candidate for the Cunninghame North constituency where he came second, then was elected from the West Scotland regional list where he was second on the regional list for the Scottish Conservatives and elected as the second regional member on the final list.
Greene is the Scottish Conservative spokesperson for technology, connectivity and the digital economy as well as digital broadcasting. He sits on the Rural Economy and Connectivity Committee of the Scottish Parliament.
After his election he also instigated and is Co-Convenor of the Scottish Parliaments' first Cross-Party-Group (CPG) on LGBTI+ issues.
