Biography
James J. Sullivan Jr. is an American lawyer specializing in occupational safety and health law. In May 2017, President Donald Trump nominated him to become an Occupational Safety and Health Review Commissioner, a position to which he was confirmed on August 3, 2017. His term is set to expire on April 27, 2021. Sullivan previously served as a lawyer at a number of law firms, including Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney, where he was a shareholder, and Cozen O'Connor. He was the management co-chair of the Occupational Safety and Health Law Committee of the American Bar Association's Labor Law Section from 2014 to 2017. Sullivan was the vice president of labor and employment law and deputy general counsel for Comcast from 2000 to 2002.
