Biography
James 'Jim' G. Townsend is the current Minority Leader of the New Mexico House of Representatives and represents the 54th district. He is the former director of Holly Energy Partners from 2012–2017. He voted against House Bill 51 in the 2019 Legislature, which attempted to repeal an old New Mexico law that makes it a crime to perform an abortion.
