James Forman Jr. (born James Robert Lumumba Forman on June 22, 1967) is an American legal scholar and Professor of Law at Yale Law School.

Biography

Forman is the son of civil rights activist James Forman and his wife Constancia Romilly. He received his A.B. from Brown University in 1988 and his J.D. from Yale Law School in 1992. Before joining the faculty of Yale, he was a public defender in Washington, D.C. for six years, as well as a clerk for both William Norris and Sandra Day O'Connor, during the 1990s.
