Jamal James is a professional welterweight (147 lbs) boxer from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
As an amateur James represented Circle of Discipline boxing club in Minneapolis. In his final year as an amateur fighter (2009), James was runner-up in two prestigious national tournaments: the National Golden Gloves and the PAL (Police Athletic League) tournaments.
Jamal James made his professional debut with a 3rd-round TKO win against Justin Danforth in May 2010. His professional record is 18-0 with 9 knockout. He is currently ranked 25th in the nation in the Welterweight Division.
