Biography

Jackie Wallace (born March 13, 1951) was an American college and professional football player. A star at Arizona, he played six professional seasons as a cornerback from 1974-1979. He started for the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IX. He was the 34th overall pick in the second round of the 1973 NFL draft. He spent his rookie year on the Vikings taxi squad.
On June 5, 2012, WDSU out of New Orleans, Louisiana ran an article about the New Orleans Mission (a homeless shelter) closing its doors due to financial problems. In the article, Jackie Wallace stated that he was homeless and had been frequenting the shelter for 2 months.
