Inkognito

Inkognito is a board game for 3 to 5 players designed by Alex Randolph and Leo Colovini first published in 1988 by Milton Bradley Company. It has since been republished several times including by the company Venice Connection established by the designers and Dario De Toffoli.

Play Overview

It is spy game set in Venice. It is unique in that you play in pairs but you don't know who your partner is. Inspired by the Italian card game Briscola Chiamata. You have half of the secret message containing your mission, your partner the other half. In order to win you have to:

• discover who really is your partner
• get from your partner the other half of the secret message
• discover your party mission
• complete the mission

In 5 players mode there is also the ambassador who wins when he can perfectly identify all other players.

In 1988 this game won the Spiel des Jahres for most beautiful game.
