Hoàng Quang Thuận (born 1953) is known as a Vietnamese poet with two poetry collections "Hoa Lư thi tập" and "Thi vân Yên Tử". These poetry collections have, however, been accused of plagiarism from “Bái Đính ngàn năm tâm linh và huyền thoại” (Trương Đình Trường, 2008) and "Chùa Yên Tử, Lịch sử - Truyền thuyết di tích và danh thắng" (Trần Trương, 3rd ed, 2005), respectively.
In 2009, with the ambition to take a leading position upon the Vietnamese poetry community, Hoàng Quang Thuận sent his poetry collections to the Swedish Academy and nominated himself for the Nobel Prize in Literature but his name was not recommended by the Nobel Committee.
