Biography

Hippostratus (Graece Ἱππόστρατος), qui si genealogia recte elucidatur fuit Oxythemidis filius, fuit anno 315 a.C.n. Antigoni Monophthalmi sectator. Eo anno, Pithone iussu Antigoni revocato et interfecto, Hippostratus munus suscepit ducis exercituum satrapiarum superiorum. Mox autem a sectatoribus Pithonis devictus est et fortasse in proelio interfectus; nihil maius de eo scitur. An filius huius fuerit Oxythemis Larissaeus non liquet.
