Herman Verelst (1641, Dordrecht – 1690, London), was a Dutch Golden Age painter.
Biography
According to the RKD he was the son of Pieter Hermansz Verelst and the father of the painters Cornelis and Maria Verelst. He became a pupil in the Confrerie Pictura at the same time as his brother Simon in 1663. He is known for portraits and still life paintings. He worked in Amsterdam, Italy, and Vienna before moving to London. Louis Michiel was his pupil.
