Biography

Harold Brazil (born 1947) is a lawyer and Democratic politician in Washington, D.C. He was an elected member of the Council of the District of Columbia from 1991 to 2005, first representing Ward 6 and then as an at-large member. He is also known for a confrontation with tattoo shop employees in that took place in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. in October 2008. Mr. Brazil was alleged to have urinated on the floor of the tattoo shop in response to the use of a racial epithet by the shop owner.
He holds a B.A. and J.D. from Ohio State University and an L.L.M. from Georgetown University Law Center.
