Biography
H. A. De S Gunasekara was the first Sri Lankan professor of Economics at University of Peradeniya. He was educated at Nalanda College, Colombo. Gunasekara was also former Secretary to the Ministry of Planning and Economic Affairs in Sri Lanka.
