Biography

Grace Neutral (Born 29 March 1989) is a British television presenter and Handpoke Tattoo Artist based in the United Kingdom. She started handpoke tattooing in 2012 but began her body modification based career through body piercings, and did so for years before deciding to take the step into tattooing, and has risen to fame through her work on social media, with almost half a million followers. In 2016 Neutral was the presenter in an I-D magazine documentary Beyond Beauty.

Personal life

Neutral was born in Dubai, but lives in the United Kingdom and is of British nationality. When Neutral was two years old, she began ballet dancing and trained with the Royal Ballet when she was young, but after she sustained an injury she decided to stop partaking in ballet dancing after sixteen years, which is when she was introduced to body modification. Neutral became obsessed with body modifications, starting with having her tongue split in half when she was 21 years old which later progressed to having her eyeballs tattooed as well as having scarification on her face.

Career

Neutral began her career through body piercing and did this for a few years before deciding to become a tattoo artist. Neutral tattoos using the Handpoke technique, which is when the artist does not use a machine but instead tattoos their client using a needle attached to a stick. Neutral previously worked for Good Times Tattoo and attended the London Tattoo Convention with them in 2014.

In 2015, Neutral featured in the Phaze What music video "Tokyo" where she is the main focus of the video. Most recently Neutral has been seen presenting a documentary for I-D Magazine called Beyond Beauty, which originally launched on the I-D YouTube channel.
