Biography

Goverdhan Mehta FNA, FASc, FRS, FRSC (born 26 June 1943) is a noted Indian researcher and chemical scientist.

Career

Mehta received his BSc and MSc from the University of Rajasthan and PhD from Pune University. He has authored more than 400 research papers. He has received the Trieste prize.

Controversy

In 2006, the U. S. government refused Mehta a visa; this decision was strongly criticised by Indian and American scientists.
