Gençay Gürsoy, (born August 20, 1939, Oltu, Erzurum, Turkey), is a Turkish neurologist.
He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Kars and entered the Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1956. After graduating in 1963, Bitlis began his military service in Adilcevaz and in 1966 he started to work as an assistant in the same faculty of neurology. He became an associate professor in 1970, an associate professor in 1975 and a full professor in 1980.
He has acted as president of the Istanbul Medical Chamber.
