Biography

Gavin Ward (born November 11, 1984) is a Canadian engineer working in Formula One.
Ward moved to England from his hometown, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in 2003 to pursue a career in Motorsport Engineering. While studying Automotive Engineering at Oxford Brookes University, he got a job in Formula One with the Milton Keynes based Red Bull Racing Formula One team as a placement student in the R&D department. After five months he was promoted to race & test team trackside control engineer.
From 2006 to 2010, Ward was Red Bull Racing's trackside electronic control systems engineer - working with David Coulthard, Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel. Since 2011 he has been working as Performance Engineer on Mark Webber's car.
