Biography

Gašo Knežević (15 September 1953 – 14 March 2014) was a Serbian law scholar, a professor at the University of Belgrade's Law School, and was the best known for serving as Serbia's Education Minister.
Between October 2000 and January 2001 he served as the Minister of Higher and High Education in the Interim Government, formed after the fall of Slobodan Milošević. He then served as the Minister of Education and Sport from 2001 to 2004.
Knežević was a member and a high-ranking official of the Civic Alliance of Serbia.
