Esther Schipper (born early 1960s) is a German art dealer and gallerist.
Schipper is the daughter of the Dutch sinologist, Kristofer Schipper. She was born in Taiwan in the early 1960s, and lived there until the age of seven.
Schipper opened her first gallery in Cologne in 1989. The artists she represents include Philippe Parreno, Tino Sehgal, Tomás Saraceno, Hito Steyerl, and Simon Fujiwara.
In 1995, Schipper opened a space in Berlin, and moved all of its operations there in 1997. In 2017, the gallery moved to a "massive new space" in Potsdamer Strasse, Berlin.
Schipper lives in Mitte, Berlin, with her partner Florian Wojnar and their two children.
