Biography
Elwin Wilburn "Wink" Midgett (December 31, 1911 – November 22, 1993) waas American football and basketball player and coach and an accounting professor. He served as the head football coach at Middle Tennessee State University from 1940 to 1946, compiling a record of 17–12–3. Midgett was also the head basketball coach at Middle Tennessee from 1939 to 1942, tallying a mark of 25–35. He was a professor of accounting at the school.
Midgett was a standout three-sport athlete at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tennessee.
