Ellen Bridget O'Connell (1805–1883) was an Irish poet.
Ellen O'Connell was born at Derrynane House, the third child and eldest daughter of Daniel O'Connell, the famous Irish M.P. known as The Liberator.
Her poems appeared in Irish Monthly, The Nation, Duffy's Fireside Magazine, the Dublin Review. A single book of poems was published in 1863.
In 1825, Ellen married Christopher FitzSimon (1793-1856), Esq., of Glencullen, Golden Ball, Co. Dublin, sometime Clerk of the Hanaper and M.P. for County Dublin.
Ellen died in London on 27 January 1883 and is buried in Kensal Green Cemetery.
