Dustin Tittle

Dustin Tittle (born July 12, 1984) is an American film producer and writer. He is the grandson of celebrated American singer Johnny Cash.

Early life

Dustin Tittle was born on July 12, 1984, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Kathy Cash and Jimmy Tittle. Kathy Cash is the daughter of Johnny Cash and Vivian Liberto. Jimmy Tittle is a Nashville-based country singer-songwriter.

In 1999, he appeared in a TV documentary on Johnny Cash's life, titled The Life and Times of the Cash Family. Besides him, all Cash family members were seen in the documentary, including June Carter Cash, Cindy Cash, John Carter Cash, Tara Cash, Tommy Cash, Vivian Liberto, Marty Stuart, and Joanne Cash.

He was also seen in Johnny Cash Memorial Tribute documentary, which aired on 15 November 2003, two months after Cash's death on 12 September. Besides him and the family members, also seen were such famed celebrities as Whoopi Goldberg, Rodney Crowell, Sheryl Crow, Ray Charles, and former US Vice-President Al Gore.    

Career

Dustin Tittle made his official show business debut in 2014, working as a graphic designer in the comedy/drama More Scenes from a Gay Marriage. The film was directed by Tittle's husband, Matt Riddlehoover and stars Rett Terrell and Charlie David in lead roles. The following year, in 2015, he wrote the comedy film Paternity Leave. The film was directed by Riddlehoover and Tittle also acted in the film, portraying the character of a record store employee.

In 2016, Tittle released his first production titled What's the Matter with Gerald? The film was directed by Matt Riddlehoover and has her mother, Kathy Cash, in one of the primary roles. In 2018, he wrote for the comedy/drama Strategy and Pursuit.

Most recently, in 2020, Little produced My Darling Vivian, a Riddlehoover-directed documentary that looks at the romantic and dramatic journey of Vivian Liberto, Johnny Cash's first wife and the mother of his four daughters. The documentary features several big Hollywood names including Reese Witherspoon, Joaquin Phoenix, Kristen Wiig, John C. Reilly, Lucille Ball, Kris Kristofferson, Tim Robbins, and Holly Hunter.

The documentary is scheduled for its world premiere in March at the South by Southwest 2020 Film Festival in Austin, Texas.
