Biography

Douglas Bunn (1 March 1928 - 16 June 2009) was a British barrister, businessman and founder and chairman of the All England Jumping Course at Hickstead.

He founded Hickstead in 1960 and was also responsible for such innovations in equestrian eventing as team chasing.

He bankrolled Hickstead for many years on the proceeds of his family's caravan park business, putting as much as £300,000 into the facility every year.
