Biography

Deborah Kaufman Placey (born March 17, 1966) is a news anchor/reporter for the New Jersey Devils' televised games on MSG Plus and the MSG Network. Placey joined the New Jersey Devils in 2011 after ten seasons reporting for the New York Islanders. Placey is also a co-host of NHL Live with EJ Hradek on the NHL Network and The BlackBerry All-Access Pregame show on NHL.com.
Her earlier TV anchor work includes stops at WSIL-TV in Marion, Illinois, KWWL-TV in Waterloo, Iowa, WPRI-TV in Providence, Rhode Island and WSVN-TV in Miami, Florida.
Prior to joining MSG in the mid-1990s, she was seen on ESPN2 during the first months that it was on the air between October 1993 and mid-1995. In 2004 and 2005, Placey filled-in as sports anchor and reporter for WNBC-TV, the local New York NBC affiliate.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Deb is married to Edward Placey, an ESPN Senior Coordinating Producer. They have 2 daughters, Madeline and Caroline, and a beagle dog named Lucky.
