Connor Byers

Connor Byers (born 2001) is an American singer/rapper and songwriter based in Athens, Georgia.

Early life

Connor Byers was born on 20 May 2001 in Anacortes, Washington to James and Tyra Byers. Later, he moved to Athens, Georgia where he currently resides.

Career

Byers shot to fame in 2013, at the age of 12, when he performed "When I Was Your Man" by Bruno Mars at the 2013 Athens Academy Talent Show.

The summer of following year, he formed a band called "Absent Mind" and released the debut single "Boom Boom Boom," in August. 

In May 2015, he released his first album, "LOCKED." The first single titled "So Long" was released earlier that year in January. The album contained 4 songs in total: "Top of the World", "1000 Knives", "Secret of the Night" and "So Long".

In the summer of 2016, Byers released his next album titled, "Ready To Go." The album included a song "Down" featuring singer Daya. The song "Like Oh" from the album was his best performing to date.

In July 2017, Byers launched his eponymous YouTube channel, where he has been posting his music.

Connor's music has been featured on a variety of platforms including Shake 108 Miami and Vents Magazine among others. He has also performed live at such venues as Athfest, Cafe 939, and The Foundry.

Inspiration

He cites Shawn Mendes, The Beatles, Bon Iver, and ELO as his inspiration.
