Clay Silvas (born 7 March 1998) is an American professional footballer forward who plays for Warriors FC in the S.League.
Career
Youth
From 2015 to 2017, he played for the Sacramento Republic Under-17's and Under-18's. In total, he scored 11 goals in 15 games during his time there.
Warriors FC
Clay was spotted training and playing preseason friendlies with Warriors FC in 2017. Soon afterwards, he signed for the Singaporean club, scoring in a preseason friendly and making his professional debut in a 1-4 loss to Boeung Ket Angkor in the Singapore Cup. However, injuries have impeded his progress and he is yet to make a start in the S.League despite being the top scorer of the 2017 Prime League.
Playing style
Silvas is known for his acceleration and his ability to get out of tight spaces. The American forward is known for his goalscoring prowess as well.
Personal life
His older cousin, Diego Silvas, is also a footballer who plies his trade in the S.League as a forward for Tampines Rovers.
