Biography

Claude Silve, née Philomène de Lévis-Mirepoix (11 August 1887 – 27 July 1978) was a French writer, recipient of the Prix Femina in 1935 for her novel Bénédiction.

Née Philomène de Lévis-Mirepoix, she was the sister of writer and historian Antoine de Lévis-Mirepoix. She became countess Jules de La Forest Divonne. Her pen name was Claude Silve.

She received the Prix Maillé-Latour-Landry of the Académie Française in 1912 for her first book La Cité des lampes. and the Prix Femina in 1935 for Bénédiction.
