Christina Shipp

Christina Shipp is an American film and television actress.

Early life and education

Shipp was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky.

Shipp studied theatre and acting at Youth Performing Arts School, Louisville, Kentucky, in the years 1994-1999. In 2000, she enrolled at the College of Charleston, South Carolina and graduated cum laude with a B.A. degree in acting/theatre and B.S. degree in Sociology, in 2003.

In the years 2007-2013, she studied improv at The People's Improv Theater, New York.

Shipp is mentored under Joy Vandervort-Cobb and Fay Simpson in The Lucid Body Technique.

Career

Shipp made her acting debut in 2005, appearing as "Heather Wells" in Milton Dewar-directed short file,  Before Twelve, starring Steven Chris Allen and Tayana Balic.

In 2008, she lent her voice to "Yumiko" character in English version of Noboru Iguchi-directed film, action/horror film, The Machine Girl. In 2013, she was part of a television show with acting coach Judy Kerr, "On the Set with Judy Kerr," alongside fellow actors Bechir Sylvain, Ksenia Delaveri, Mckenzie Coffee, and Randi Krasny.

In 2016, she directed Partners in Crime, starring Jush Allen, Steve Squall, and Jim Shipp.

In July 2017, she was seen in "Fresno" episode of the television series, Casual. She portrayed the wife of Rich (played by Brendan Hunt.)

Most recently, in October 2019, she was seen in Jake Macpherson-directed comedy short, Green Mama, alongside, Valerie Cozzens, Austin Arnold, and Albert Thakur.

In addition, Shipp is the CEO of Accelerated Artist (AcceleratedArtist.com,) an online community of arts and crafts enthusiasts.
