Biography
Chris Ivery is an American music producer, and husband of Ellen Pompeo.
Chris Every (Christopher Ivery) was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 1967.
He is currently a record producer in Los Angeles.
He met Ellen in a grocery store in Los Angeles, and they began dating six months after. Both, Ellen and Chris are originally from Boston, and big fans of Boston Celtics. The couple married in 2007 in a quiet wedding ceremony at City Hall in Lower Manhattan in New York. Michael Bloomberg, who was the mayor of the city at the time, served as a witness at the brief ceremony which was performed by a city clerk.
Pompeo and Ivery have three children.
Ivery at the center of gossip
According to Star Magazine, court records showed that Ivery had at least 13 criminal convictions in Massachusetts and had served three jail sentences, buddytv reported on July 03, 2007.
According to the magazine
Ivery was arrested for possession of cocaine and cannabis with the intention to supply in 1987 at the age of 19, and was fined and ordered for probation after being convicted for both counts in 1990. After missing three probation hearings, he was sentenced to three months in prison.
Shortly, he was sent back to prison for possession and trafficking of cocaine. After eight convictions, he was sentenced to 14 months in Pennsylvania federal prison and was released in 1995.
In 1998, he confessed that he was planning to bring 10 pounds of cannabis back to Boston, Massachusetts, after being detained for accepting the package in Arizona. Consequently, he was given a two-year suspended sentence and 6 months of house arrest.
Two years after the marriage, in September 2009, Star Magazine also reported that Ivery, 41 at the time, had an affair with a 19-year-old restaurant hostess, Rachel Artz, a 2008 graduate of Whitman Hanson Regional High School who worked at Bricco and Umbria. Artz confirmed the story. The two met used to meet in Boston, Miami, and Martha's Vineyard, according to an insider -- reported by Newser.
However, Boston.com later reported that Artz's father denies the claims made by Star Magazine. "It's all malarky, totally erroneous," said Rachel's father.
In 2012, Hollywoodlife broke another cheating scandal. It reported that Ivery tried to "hook up" with a young girl at a Guns N’ Roses concert.
Depite the rumors, the couple is going strong. They had their third child in December 2016.
