Charles Michael Jarrell (May 15, 1940) is an American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who served as the sixth bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Lafayette in Louisiana until his resignation on February 18, 2016.
Before entering a seminary, Jarrell attended The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. where he received both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in philosophy.
Jarrell was appointed as the second bishop of Diocese of Houma–Thibodaux, Louisiana and served from 1992 to 2002.
On November 8, 2002, Jarrell was appointed to serve as bishop for the Diocese of Lafayette in Louisiana. On February 18, 2016, Pope Francis accepted Jarrell's resignation and appointed J. Douglas Deshotel to succeed him.
