Biography

Cara Lockwood is an American novelist and the bestselling author of nine novels from Mesquite, Texas.

Career

Her novels most identify with the chick lit genre. Her most successful book to date has been I Do (But I Don't), which was made into a Lifetime Original Movie starring Denise Richards and Dean Cain and was a USA Today bestseller.

She is currently writing the Bard Academy teen series, updating her favorite classics. Titles to date include Wuthering High, Scarlet Letterman, and "Moby Clique".

The majority of her books have been published by Downtown Press and MTV Books.

Personal life

Lockwood graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in English studies. She is 1991 graduate of Mesquite High School.

She is currently divorced and living in Chicago with her two daughters and working on her next novel.
